We have to put our dry stock somewhere so why not put it all in the same room on display!
This room features stock of live edge boards, square edge boards and all of the offcuts from larger projects we have on the go. All of the timber is either air dried or kiln dried and sourced from within 100miles of our yard.
Some of the offcuts aren’t listed on the website, and neither are the smaller pieces so its worth coming to take a look at the selection!
We tend not to flatten or sand our boards before selling them, which keeps the cost down for you, but it’s something we can arrange if needed.
Most of the slabs you see advertised on the website are those that are currently drying. The boards are advertised green, straight off the sawmill, from which they are washed, marked up, photographed and stacked in stick before heading on to the racking to naturally air dry.
We put everything on here for two months at least to allow them to pitch off their initial moisture, and then from there make a decision as to whether they are ready for the kiln or need longer on the racking.
Some of the larger boards stay here for longer or anything prone to twisting and cracking. This allows a slower drying process than putting them in the kiln.

Unfortunately we are unable to commit to being open all week due to the nature of the business, but if you do wish to visit out of hours, then get in touch and we can arrange an appointment. We are always at the end of the phone or able to respond to emails.
